The rocky mountains of the Gargano have generated Peschici. Right above the sea, the town dominates the surrounding landscape of northern Gargano, where as far as the eye can see green Aleppo pinewoods are interspersed among wide golden bays. Peschici is striking with its labyrinth of narrow streets in the old town centre and the typical white buildings with grey cupola roofs. Owing to its charm, the town is considered ‘the Gem of the Gargano’.
